Six Week Pottery Wheel Basics

Don’t miss this chance to try your hand at pottery while being taught by a professional: Anne Scott Plummer, WSU Art Professor Emeritus! This six course series lets you learn the basics of how to make pottery pieces from the wheel.

You'll practice throwing cylinders, the basic pottery form for all beginning potters.
Clay, underglaze and glaze provided. You’ll practice basic throwing, trimming, and glazing, and
pick up glaze-fired work after the class is over. 
Course meets on the following dates/times:

  • Tuesday Oct 6: 1 – 3 pm
  • Tuesday Oct 13: 1 – 3 pm
  • Tuesday Oct 20: 1 – 3 pm
  • Tuesday Oct 27: 1 – 3 pm
  • Tuesday Nov 10: 1 – 3 pm
  • Tuesday Nov 17: 1 – 3 pm

Please note that there will NOT be a session on November 3rd (election day).  Do not register if you cannot attend all meetings. Attendees must be age 14 or older.

Cost includes 25lbs of clay, underglazes, glazes, and firings. This class is limited to 8 participants.
